Gombe International School, a private, co-educational day school was founded on the 12th of September, 1994. The cardinal point behind the establishment of the school was humanitarian; a community service to upgrade the quality of tuition and to complement government efforts to deliver qualitative education to people of Gombe town and its environs.

The school was built on a solid foundation of commitment to excellence by a team of professionals who were concerned with the appalling situation. The school is located along Miyetti-State Low-cost road, Bolari Quarters, Gombe. The secondary section of the school came in to being as a response to Universal Basic Education policy and to meet the demands of parents for secondary education. The school has since been progressing steadily by the day.
